Our Love Story
Our story began in September 2016, when Carla and Daniello's paths crossed for the first time in a rather modern way: through Instagram. Carla first followed Daniello, and not long after, Daniello sent the first message. They chatted back and forth for a while, but never met in person.
Fast forward to the beginning of 2017: Carla had just begun her first year at Stellenbosch University, and Daniello was already in his second year. Still, they never met in person, until one summer's evening... On 14 February 2017, after neither of them had a particularly remarkable Valentine's Day, Daniello texted Carla to ask if she would like to go for a drive around town. After some encouragement from her neighbor, she decided to take a chance. Daniello picked her up outside Bohemia, and she got into the car with a complete stranger—sorry, Mom!
It felt as though we were two old friends reconnecting after years apart. A short drive around Stellenbosch turned into an unexpected road trip to Signal Hill. We talked and laughed for hours, and by the time we got back home, we couldn’t wait to see each other again the next day. That was the moment we both knew something special was beginning.
Here we are, eight years later, still in awe of how taking that chance on a Valentine’s night led to the best thing that’s ever happened to us. We are so excited to have you be a part of our love story.
Accommodation
We have booked accommodation near our venue for all our guests from Friday, 3 October 2025 until Sunday, 5 October 2025. Accommodation details will be shared with you closer to the time!
There is therefore no need to book a place to stay for Friday and Saturday night.
Shuttles will be arranged on Saturday to the wedding venue.
Should you wish to extend your stay in Knysna beyond these dates, you are welcome to book additional accommodation.
